Incidentally, if you’re anywhere near Denver, Colorado, they’ll be doing a concert at Columbine Hills Church on September 16, 2007. The opening band is Quote the Raven. They have two songs available on their MySpace page…so go check them out too!

Free mp3 of The Easter Song from Atomic Opera. Yes, this is the one written by Annie Herring (of 2nd Chapter of Acts fame)…It’s one of the most covered Christian songs ever, and I’m pretty sure I haven’t heard anyone do it like this. Quality stuff.

Their MySpace tagline is “We’ve never heard of you either.” I think that’s funny…but for a group few have heard, they sound pretty good.

Never heard of ApologetiX? You’re missing out!
Think “Weird Al gets saved”…and you’re still not quite there. These guys have been THE Christian parody band since, well…I can’t think of anybody else. I have only three of their albums, and can’t wait to get more. They turn some of the most memorable music on the radio into Christian songs, and they do it without being cheesy or stupid. Here are some of my favorites:

Corinthians (parody of In the End by Linkin Park)
Smooth Grandmama (parody of Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm)
