Project 86 fans will be happy to learn that their new album, Rival Factions, will hit the shelves on June 19th. Don’t be discouraged, though…they’ve put one of the new songs online for your listening enjoyment!

Evil (A Chorus of Resistance) is available on their MySpace page…but not for download, of course. I like it, so I’ve listened to it several times.

Red is back from Germany, where they had a great tour. They report that their single Breathe Into Me will hit radio stations in February…but you can hear it now on their website.

Better than that, you can WATCH it. They’ve put up the Breathe Into Me video, which is pretty well-done…if you’ve been looking for a new hard-hitting band, Red just might be it. Their video is WMV, so you’ll need Windows Media Player (or an equivalent)…those who have it can double-click and view the video full screen. Nice.

Go see it.

Earlier I wrote about Mute Math’s battle to avoid being pigeonholed by their record label, limiting their exposure to a strictly Christian audience. I applauded their intentions, as far as I understood them.

Now I’m applauding their music. They’re offering a free mp3 download of Typical on Fuse.tv…and I think you should get it and listen to it. Then I’d like to know what you think!

I like MxPx.

I also like Glad, Acappella, and Keith Green…but there’s something satisfying about crunchy hard rock. The first MxPx song I ever heard was I Can Be Friends With You from the Petra retrospective Never Say Dinosaur. I consider it a new classic.

It’s not a free mp3 download, but I thought that some of you might want to hear MxPx’s latest song. It’s called Role Remodeling, and it’s on their Purevolume site. Give it a listen and let me know what you think.
