Their MySpace tagline is “We’ve never heard of you either.” I think that’s funny…but for a group few have heard, they sound pretty good.
Never heard of ApologetiX? You’re missing out!
Think “Weird Al gets saved”…and you’re still not quite there. These guys have been THE Christian parody band since, well…I can’t think of anybody else. I have only three of their albums, and can’t wait to get more. They turn some of the most memorable music on the radio into Christian songs, and they do it without being cheesy or stupid. Here are some of my favorites:
Look Yourself (parody of Lose Yourself by Eminem)
Corinthians (parody of In the End by Linkin Park)
Smooth Grandmama (parody of Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm)
There are close to 20 songs available for download…all they want is your email address. I guarantee that you’ll like what they’re doing.
Visit their music page and try to download their free mp3s…they’ll walk you through the process. They’re like a breath mint you listen to. Collect the whole set!

That’s 4 great songs for the low, low price of absolutely free. Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. It’s too bad they broke up…I like what I hear.
Earlier I wrote about Mute Math’s battle to avoid being pigeonholed by their record label, limiting their exposure to a strictly Christian audience. I applauded their intentions, as far as I understood them.
Now I’m applauding their music. They’re offering a free mp3 download of Typical on Fuse.tv…and I think you should get it and listen to it. Then I’d like to know what you think!

I really like their sound. These appear to be rough cuts, but they’re of the same quality that we find on most musicians’ websites. Enjoy!
