mp3: My Free Music Friday
I’ve written about My Free Music Friday a couple of times. Some of you have been a little frustrated, though…they weren’t offering any new music for a while. Now that the improvements are complete, they’re back.
Today they’re offering three free downloads:
In Silence by Michael W. Smith
Our First Love by Michael Olson
Big Enough by Ayiesha Woods

A little bunny trail here: Along with the free music, they have a blog, linked at the top of the page you reference. This weeks guest blogger is Shaun Groves, talking about the changing music industry, and the prevalence of free music available on the web. He mentions, and links to, Paste Magazine’s offering of “hundred’s” of free songs - here in their store. They ask for your e-mail, that’s it. And the artists include Pierce Pettis, Over the Rhine, Fret Not, and others (both CCM and secular). Check it out; I snagged around 30 songs quickly, and may go back for seconds.

Thanks, euphrony!
I’ve found a whole bunch more to blog about…
Of course, the Paste page offers .rm files, not mp3 files. Pity.
I appreciate your feedback…and I hope others do too!

MM,
I don’t know how you looked at the songs, but everything I downloaded was mp3. If you put in your e-mail and it shows you a page with check boxes by the songs and a button to push that says “Play All”, then you got miss-directed. Try entering your e-mail again, and it should (hopefully) take you to a page that says “Click on a song title to download an mp3″ at the top.

Hmm. It took a couple of tries, but I finally got the listing of mp3’s instead of .rm’s. Thanks!
