Award: SoMusical
CCM Links has received a web award!
Now, I’m not a big fan of web awards…there have been a lot of websites over the years who’ve created their own awards, and most of them are fairly meaningless. Most people wouldn’t recognize the people giving the award, as they’re only doing it to create more traffic and buzz for their site.
In this case, I don’t mind. The award-givers are SoMusical. Now, the award may be part of an overall marketing plan…I don’t know for sure. I don’t really care, for one simple reason: they’ve been sending me visitors for some time now. They provide a useful service to sites like mine, and I’m appreciative.
As a web designer, I’m not going to plaster the site with award pictures…but I will suggest that those of you who love music might bookmark their website for future reference. They bill themselves as the largest collection of quality music sites on the web…and I don’t doubt it. It’s a big place.
