CCM Links

It’s time to think about this summer’s travel schedule. If you live ANYWHERE CLOSE to the Rocky Mountain region, consider coming to Colorado in July. Why? Simple: Heaven Fest!

Seriously…this looks like it’s gonna be a great day of awesome music, evangelism, and intercessory prayer. I’ve met with the folks who are creating the event, and by all accounts it looks like a God-directed event. I’m not going to miss a minute of it, so you should come and say hello.

There will be contests and giveaways and more info to follow…but for now, here’s a list of some of the artists who’ll be there:

I’m making a big change. Some of you have noticed that I haven’t updated CCM Links in quite some time, and you’ve wondered why. Well, it’s pretty simple. Sort of. Kinda.

CCM Links used to be a single page of links on my primary personal website, GodWords. It got big enough that I felt it deserved its own domain, and its own identity. CCM Links was born, and quickly became one of the largest websites of its kind.

One problem: how could I bring the thousands of CCM Links readers and the thousands of GodWords readers together? Answer: I really couldn’t.

Well, times change. I’ve decide to reunite GodWords and CCM Links, along with another website I’d created called The Bible Rocks. I’d create some sort of larger resource site for everyone, combine the traffic from both sites, and make my own life easier. You see, it’s really hard to regularly update the seven or eight websites I own…so I’m going to lighten my load and simply have fewer sites to update. That eliminates a lot of guilt, and gives you all something extra: more content, more often.

Please take the time to visit GodWords. In a short time, CCM Links will cease to exist as a separate website, and you’ll find the Artist Links and Free MP3’s you’ve come to expect, and a little more. The promised Album Reviews have begun, starting with my friend Jeremy Cotter’s Undertow. Thanks for your patience, Jeremy.

Please keep your subscription to the CCM Links RSS Feed for now, and I’ll let you know when the site is going to come down. In the meantime, check out the bloggy goodness at GodWords!

Contemporary Christian Musician Andrew Osenga (that’s a lot of capitals), a solo artist, formerly of The Normals, currently of Caedmon’s Call, is offering you some free music.

Well, sort of. He’s offering you some music without demanding compensation. If you’d like to drop him a few bucks in exchange, he’d love to continue feeding his family. The download contains 6 (count ‘em: six) free songs:

I can’t stress strongly enough that you should go and check out Andrew’s music. His good work over a number of years has earned him a following, and he deserves it. Listen to his music, drop him a few bucks, and remember to thank him for giving us all something to sing.
